G.O.M.A (Gallery of Modern Art)

We visited GOMA. It was a Gallery of Modern Art in Brisbane. There was a New Zealand exhibition on. There was a cool raft. It was hand made. The guy made it in New Zealand. He used a big team to put it all together. How it floated was using an empty fuel tank from a plane and he sealed up the cracks with tar so no water would get in. What he sat on was planks of wood that he tied together with ropes.

He used one plank of wood to make the sail pole and then he used a few panels of parachute material to make the sail and they hand stitched it together. He wrote on the sail with red ochre, “FI”. Here is a picture of the film we watched about how he made it.

This is a picture of a tool that we liked.
